The teen birth rate has hit a new low, dropping 9 percent between 2009 and 2010. That's according to new data released Tuesday by the National Center for Health Statistics. But the news isn't so good in Mississippi, which once again has the highest teen birth rate of any state in the country: 55 per every 1,000 girls ages 15 to 19 in 2010, the most recent year for which data are available. (Still, nearly every state saw a decline in teen births from 2007 to 2012, and Mississippi, whose rate dropped 21 percent, was no exception.) Here's a look at the 15 states with the highest teen birth rates:
